CHEMICAL PEEL
ABOUT:
A Chemical Peel is a skin resurfacing treatment that uses a specialized solution of exfoliating acids to remove dead and damaged skin cells, revealing a smoother and more radiant complexion. Chemical peels help improve skin tone and texture while addressing concerns such as acne, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, sun damage, and uneven skin tone. By stimulating cell turnover and encouraging new skin growth, this treatment helps refresh and rejuvenate the skin. With continued treatments, chemical peels can improve overall skin clarity, brightness, and smoothness.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Pregnancy or breastfeeding (depending on peel type), active skin infections, open wounds or lesions, sunburn, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, recent laser treatments, recent use of isotretinoin, or allergies to peel ingredients.
PRE + POST CARE:
Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, and other strong active ingredients for 3–5 days prior to treatment. Avoid excessive sun exposure before the peel. After treatment, keep the skin moisturized, avoid picking or peeling the skin, and avoid exfoliating products for several days. Daily SPF is essential to protect the newly exposed skin.
SESSIONS + INTERVALS
A series of 3–6 treatments, spaced 1-2 weeks apart, is recommended depending on skin concerns and peel strength. Maintenance treatments can be performed as needed.
